Pandas in the Spotlight

The Drama Queens is Immaculate Heart Middle School’s vibrant theater club, where students bring stories to life on stage. Open to all aspiring performers, the club provides a supportive space for students to explore acting, storytelling, and stage production. Through rehearsals and performances, members develop confidence, collaboration skills, and a deeper appreciation for the performing arts. 

Each year, the Drama Queens present exciting productions that showcase their talents and hard work. From classic plays to contemporary pieces, their performances captivate audiences and celebrate the dedication of young artists. The club fosters a strong sense of community, where students encourage and inspire one another in their artistic growth. With a commitment to creativity and self-expression, the Middle School Drama Queens continue to be a beloved part of the Immaculate Heart experience, giving students the chance to shine both on and off the stage.

Fiddler on the Roof

Fiddler on the Roof is a beloved musical with a book by Joseph Stein, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. It tells the story of Tevye, a humble Jewish milkman in the Russian village of Anatevka, as he struggles to uphold his family’s traditions in the face of changing times. With humor, heart, and iconic songs like "Tradition," "If I Were a Rich Man," and "Matchmaker," the musical explores themes of faith, love, and resilience. As Tevye’s daughters challenge societal expectations by choosing their own paths, he must balance his deep-rooted beliefs with his love for his family. Set against the backdrop of political unrest in early 20th-century Russia, Fiddler on the Roof is a timeless story of identity, community, and the enduring human spirit.

High School Musical

High School Musical is a lively stage adaptation of the hit Disney Channel movie, with a book by David Simpatico, music by various composers, and songs by Matthew Gerrard, Robbie Nevil, and others. The story follows Troy Bolton, a basketball star, and Gabriella Montez, a shy but brilliant student, as they break social expectations by auditioning for their high school’s musical. Their journey challenges the rigid cliques of East High, inspiring their classmates to embrace their talents and follow their passions. With catchy songs like "Start of Something New," "Breaking Free," and "We're All in This Together," the musical is an energetic celebration of teamwork, friendship, and self-discovery.
