Genesians Present "Little Shop of Horrors"
The Genesians’ fall production of “Little Shop of Horrors” will open on Thursday, November 14, and run through Sunday, November 17. The show will open at 7:30 p.m. from Thursday - Saturday, with a matinee show at 2 p.m. on Sunday. Click HERE to purchase tickets!
The Genesians are Immaculate Heart's drama club named for Saint Genesius, the patron saint of actors. They put on two major productions each year: a play and a musical.
This year, their musical production is "Little Shop of Horrors," book and lyrics written by Howard Ashman and music by Alan Menken. this award winning dark musical comedy follows Seymour Krelborn, a struggling florist who discovers a mysterious, carnivorous plant that promises fame and fortune. As the plant, named Audrey II, grows more powerful and demands increasingly gruesome sacrifices, Seymour must confront the moral dilemmas of his ambitions.
