October PinkOut Events Rally for Breast Cancer Awareness
Immaculate Heart's athletic teams showed support for breast cancer awareness throughout October with PinkOut events, proudly wearing pink and raising awareness for this important cause.
This initiative began on October 3 when our tennis team sported pink during their match against Louisville High School, showing our Pandas’ spirit and dedication.
The energy continued as our volleyball team faced off against Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy on October 10. Our freshman and JV teams played with heart, followed by our varsity squad claiming victory in an electric five-set match! This showdown highlighted the strength and tenacity of our athletes as well as the spirit of our student body, with our cheerleaders and beloved mascot rallying the pink-clad student-section to cheer on our team.
The cross country team also joined the PinkOut efforts on October 10 and 11, proudly donning pink at the Clovis Invitational to advocate for breast cancer awareness and research.
We are immensely proud of our athletes, not only for their achievements in competition but also their support of this cause. Each event during PinkOut Month is a reminder of the strength in unity, resilience, and compassion that our Immaculate Heart community embodies. Go Pandas!
A Catholic, independent college preparatory school for girls in grades 6 through 12, Immaculate Heart has been located on a beautiful hillside property in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles since our founding by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1906. We celebrate more than a century of nurturing the spiritual, intellectual, social and moral development of students as they distinguish themselves as women of great heart and right conscience.
